# Excel Add-in Overview

> AI-powered assistance directly inside your Excel spreadsheets

The CREFI Excel Add-in brings the full power of CREFI's AI directly into Microsoft Excel. Instead of switching between your spreadsheet and a separate tool, you can chat with the AI, populate cells, build formulas, create charts, and run analyses without ever leaving Excel.

## How It Works

The add-in appears as a **taskpane** (side panel) inside Excel. You type requests in the chat, and CREFI reads your spreadsheet, executes changes, and reports back -- all in real time.

When CREFI makes a change to your spreadsheet, it provides a brief explanation of what it did and highlights the affected cells so you can verify every edit.
